Mladen Vasojevic – percussions
Sonja Kalajic, violinist was born in 1977 in Belgrade, where she attended "Vatroslav Lisinski″ music school, in the class of professor Srboljub Savic, and "Dr Vojislav Vuckovic" in care of professor Angelina Lebedinski. She took her bachelor´s and master´s degree at the Faculty of Music arts in Belgrade in the class of professor Dejan Mihailovic. The Belgrade audience got acquainted with a number of premiere performances - compositions of Sibelius,Piacole,Respigio and Enesko - within the concert programme of Belgrade cultural centre, Ethnographic museum, Serbian academy of science and arts and the Culture hall of Student city. With pianist Vanja Pekovic, she took part at the Greek summer festival Simi festival 2002. She was engaged in the Television Belgrade broadcast "Associations" dedicated to the work of Bela Bartok and in programme "Ecologic country party" Television Novi Sad. Sonja Kalajic works five years already as an violine assistant with professor Irina Jasvili and professor Dejan Mihailovic at the Academy of Music in Serbian Sarajevo. She is the author of music for radio drama "Midnight legend" (RTS Belgrade, 1999) and solo author of radiophone work "Lament over Belgrade" (Oratory for reciters, mixed choir, orchestra, typewriter and radiophone effects) as well as the well known poem of Milos Crnjanski (RTS Belgrade, 2002). In 2004. she established Quintecho ensemble composing and writing arrangments for it. Her essay concerning tango was presented at a lecture (February 11th 2005.) at the festival Counterpoint in YUBIN centre. Summary of the lecture was published in the paper “Europe Nation” (no.2, August 2005.). Last year she improved violine tango technics with professor Enrique Postma at the National tango academy in Buenos Aires and Fernando Rodriguez, violinist of Color tango. The newest - Cyprus!
Dusanka Abramovic, flautist, was born in 1981 in Pancevo, she was barely eight when she started playing the flute in music school "Jovan Bandur" (in the class of master Miomir Simonovic ). She continued her secondary music schooling with professor Simonovic in secondary music school "Josip Slavenski" in Belgrade . In 1999 she enrolls her master studies in East Sarajevo ( Bosnia and Hercegovina) in the class of master Sanja Stijacic where she continues to achieve excellent results. Presently attends her second year master's degree. Throughout her instrumental–performing education, she achieved numerous prominent results and awards at vast competitions, festivals and parades (as a soloist and member of various chamber ensembles). Among the latest awards outflow first prize at the Republic competition of Republika Srpska in Banja Luka (2001) and first prize at the flautist festival in Valjevu – both in soloist category (2002 and 2003). At the Balkan Youth Festival in Thessaloniki ( Greece in 2000) she was one of the representatives of Bosna and Hercegovina. She participated at various present day eminent flautists workshops among them stand out Tahir Kulenovic , Irena Grafenauer, Michel Debost, Janos Balint and Tadeo Coelho . Memorized are her numerous performances within radio and television programmes in Serbia . As from 2005, she is a member of the Association of flautists "Miodrag Azanjac". Beside concert activities Dusanka is occupied with pedagogic work in music school "Jovan Bandur" in Pancevo.
Jelena Bankovic, pianist (1987), started her music schooling with 6 years in the class of professor Mirjana Djordjevic, in Music schol Lisinski. Already in the first year of her education she performed at the “May concert” dedicated to the youngest school pupils. Winner of special prize at the Yugoslav competition in Kotor in 1997. In 1998 winns the first prize at the competition in Streza (Italy). Winner of the first prize at “Nikolai Rubinstein” competition in 1997 in Paris, as well as the “Competition for young pianists” in Nis (1998), competition “Petar Konjovic” and others. As a soloist, performed within the scope of concert programmes at KNU, “Progres” gallery, Atrium of the National Museum, Ethnographic Museum, Student Cultural Center and City parliament. Attended master classes with M. Lili Petrovic, Aleksandar Serdar, Nevena Popovic, Ninoslav Zivkovic and others and took part in radio and TV broadcasts. Performed with the orchestra in the Cultural-educational centre and Ilije M. Kolarac foundation performing Mozart and Bach concerts. In the category of chamber music winner of the first prize at the Republic competition in 2000 and second prize in 2002 and 2003. Performed at the “X Spring festival of chamber music” in Subotica in 2003 winning the first prize. Currently is a 4th year student at the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade in the class of professor Aleksandar Serdar. Beside pianist activities Jelena attends third year of solo singing at the secondary music school V.Lisinski in the class of Aneta Ilic. In the category of solo singing winner of numerous awards among them stand out: second prize at the VII competition “Nikola Cvejic” in Ruma in 2004, special prize for the youngest participant and third prize in 2006 at the same competition. First prize at the “Lazar Jovanovic” competition in 2004 and 2005 and first prize at the Republic competitiion in 2005. Out of numerous public performances several can be singled out: concerts in the Fresco gallery, KNU and concerts of students in professor Aneta Ilic class in the Art-get gallery and within the cycle ’Selected for selected’(2007) in Kolarac gallery performing as a guest. Participated in 2006 as a performer at the Third International festival of young authors ’Koma’ in the concert hall of the Belgrade philharmonic orchestra.
Miodrag Krstic, accordionist, born in 1979, Belgrade where he completed lower and secondary music school Dr.Vojislav Vuckovic in professor Biljane Radosavljevic′s class. Awarded highest appraisals at a great number of competitions among other: ~ 1994. I prize at the Festival of music schools of Serbia in Valjevo; ~ 1995, 1997 and 1998. I prize at Manifestation ″Accordion days″ in Smederevo; ~ 1995. and 1996. I prize at International competition "Stefano Bizzarri", Italy ; ~ 1998. I prize Republican competition in Belgrade and II prize at the Federal competition in Kotor; ~ At the young accordionists competition in 1977 first prize winner. The following year at the same competion awarded special prize and I prize in the category of chamber orchestras; ~ At the review of young music talents of Serbia held in Sremski Karlovci organized by the Ministry of Culture and Association of music and ballet schools of Serbia, twice (in 1995 and 1996) selected as the most talented and perspective accordion student. In 2003. Miodrag graduated at the Faculty of Music – University of Arts in Belgrade – department in Kragujevac, in the class of professor Vojin Vasovic. Currently attends second year of postgraduate studies in the class of professor Radomir Tomic. Besides concert activities Miodrag teaches accordion in lower music school "Petar Stojanovic" (Ub) and lower music school "Petar Ilic" (Arandjelovac). Member of Quintecho from October 2007.
Nemanja Djordjevic, contrabassist, born in 1981, Belgrade where he attended lower music school “Vatroslav Lisinski” in the class of professor Ivan Bokor and secondary music school “Stevan Mokranjac” in professor Srdjan Stosic′s class. Currently is an advanced student at the Philology-artistic Faculty in Kragujevac in the class of professor Srdjan Stosic. During his schooling he was an active member of various ensembles among them distinguish the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra “Borislav Pascan”, chamber ensemble “Ljubica Maric” and ensemble of the Serbian medical association. He received advanced training from well-known prominent contrabass pedagogues on seminars held in Serbia and Germany (Klaus Trumph, Bozo Paradik, Lev Rakov, Ljubosav Gajdos, David Sinclair). From September 2007 teaches contrabass in lower music school “Vatroslav Lisinski” and subject sheet reading in secondary music school “Vatroslav Lisinski”. Joined Quintecho in October 2007.
Mladen Vasojevic, percussionist born in 1979, Belgrade where he attended lower and secondary music school "Stankovic" in the classes of professors Dusan Vrbic and Zvezdan Jeremic. Graduated at the Faculty of Music- University of Arts in Belgrade in 2005 in professor Miroslav Karlovic′s class. During his schooling performed with the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra"Borislav Pascan" and presently is a member of numerous music ensembles performing in the country and abroad. From 1999. a permanent member of the Opera orchestra of the National Theatre and a part-time member of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra and Symphonic Orchestra of Radio television of Serbia . Performs with the orchestra of early music Orferion playing on archaic instruments. Member of Quintecho from October 2007.
